Biography

Shira is manager and General Partner of The Truitt Law Firm, LLC.  In that capacity, she routinely advises clients on a variety of business matters including contracts, risk management, drafting joint venture agreements, buy-sell agreements, and various business transactions confronting companies engaged in starting a practice or moving to the next phase of business.  Shira counsels clients in estate planning matters, including drafting wills and trusts, transferring property, and ensuring that clients have properly drafted and executed power of attorney and durable healthcare power of attorney.  Shira also assists clients with family law matters, including divorces, custody, child support, and adoptions. 

Shira practices in the area of public finance, assisting clients by serving as counsel on bonds related to public financing of public/private ventures between entities and municipalities, cities and states.  In addition, Shira conducts expedited due process hearings for the State of Missouri’s Department of Education, Division of Special Education.
